Starting off my life in a small town outside of Medellin, Colombia, I am a first generation immigrant, social worker, clergyman, Doctor in Theology, professor and author. A personal project, meant to share stories of my youth with my children, has turned into a rediscovery of my roots. Growing up in the 1970’s and 1980’s Medellin of Pablo Escobar, I recount my own experiences in light of a painful period of Colombian history. I now reside in Louisiana with my wife and 4 children.
